Another STRIMHealth expert visit at the Research Institute for Medicines (iMed ULisboa), hosted by the Cell Function and Therapeutic Targeting group led by Prof. Cecília Rodrigues was successfully completed!

From April 14th to May 8th, 2026, four IBISS researchers, Dr. Biljana Bursać, Dr. Miloš Vratarić, PhD students Tijana Marković and Vasilije Živaljević, participated in intensive hands-on training and collaborative research activities in Lisbon.

The expert visit focused on parallel training in Drug Discovery and Biomarker Identification and Validation, including in vitro screening platforms, assay optimization, dose–response analysis, multi-omics approaches, experimental design, and validation pipelines in the context of metabolic diseases.

Beyond gaining valuable technical and scientific experience, the visit further strengthened collaboration and knowledge exchange between IBISS and iMed ULisboa, contributing to the interdisciplinary goals of the STRIMHealth project and fostering future joint research initiatives.
