As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković” – National Institute of the Republic of Serbia (IBISS) and European universities, we have completed a two-day online workshop on research data management, in collaboration with experts from Amsterdam University Medical Center and their colleagues from Wageningen University & Research.
During the event, valuable insights and personal experiences on key topics has been shared, including the following:
GDPR and privacy regulations
FAIR principles and open science
Data security and anonymization
Metadata standards in biomedical research
Data sharing with industry and patent protection
This activity represents an important step in improving our own research data management at IBISS, as well as in building the capacity and competencies of our colleagues from other Serbian institutions who participated in the workshop, in line with the goals of the STRIMHealth project.
