Workshop “Bridging the Gap: Translational Pathways in Biomedicine” – Apply by September 19, 2025!

The STRIMHealth team of the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković” – National Institute of the Republic of Serbia, University of Belgrade (IBISS) invites you to join the upcoming workshop “Bridging the Gap: Translational Pathways in Biomedicine”, to be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the IBISS Library.

This dynamic and interactive one-day event will focus on the critical steps of translational research on metabolic diseases, providing insights into how basic scientific discoveries can effectively move toward clinical practice.

Key topics include:

• Translating basic research into real-world impact that can change medical practice

• Navigating the pathways from basic science into clinical research and medical applications

• Interrogating clinical data to plan a translational research strategy

Participants will gain  insights from leading experts – Prof. Jeremy Tomlinson and Prof. Amanda Adler, from Radcliffe Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, UK, through a combination of lectures and interactive group work designed to encourage practical application of translational research concepts.

The official language of the workshop is English, and participation is open to all employees of academic institutions in Serbia. PhD students and early-stage researchers are especially encouraged to apply. Participation is only possible on-site, and detailed agenda is available here.
