The two-day Entrepreneurship and Open Innovation Workshops were successfully held online on February 19–20, 2026, as part of the STRIMHealth project. The workshops were organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon (FFUL), under the leadership of Prof. Cecília Rodrigues, in close collaboration with representatives of the IBISS Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) Team.
Over two dynamic days, participants explored key strategies for transforming scientific research into impactful innovation and market-ready solutions. The workshops provided a stimulating platform for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and the strengthening of collaboration between academia and industry.
The comprehensive program addressed essential topics including intellectual property protection, EU and national funding opportunities, business model development in the life sciences sector, industry –academia partnerships, and effective pitching of scientific ideas. Through expert-led lectures, practical examples, and interactive discussions, participants gained valuable insights and tools to enhance the commercialization potential of their research.
We thank all speakers and participants for their active engagement and contribution to the success of the workshops.
