The STRIMHealth project, in collaboration with the Amsterdam University Medical Center, invites you to participate in the workshop “Biomarker discovery in metagenomics”, taking place on 26–27 March 2026, at the Library of the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković” in Belgrade.
This two-day workshop will be led by bioinformaticians Mark Davids and Dr. Amir Alizadeh Bahmani from Amsterdam University Medical Center.
The program will cover:
• Introduction to biomarker discovery in metagenomics
• Characteristics of microbiome data and statistical challenges
• Advanced statistical methods
• Modeling and visualization approaches for biomarker discovery
The workshop is intended for researchers, PhD students, early-career scientists, and students with prior knowledge in metagenomics data analysis and bioinformatics.
