Dr. Nataša Veličković, coordinator of the STRIMHealth project, was an invited speaker in the lecture series organized within the PFAStwin project. Her lecture, titled “The Impact of PFAS on the Development of Metabolic Diseases,” took place on March 18 in the Small Hall of the Kolarac Foundation.
Dr. Veličković provided an overview of the STRIMHealth project and the current understanding of the effects of endocrine-disrupting chemicals, particularly PFAS, on Metabolic Dysfunction-associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD). This lecture aimed to raise awareness of metabolic diseases in Serbia, to promote preventive measures in the fight against the metabolic disease pandemic in Serbia, as well as to enhance visibility and impact of the STRIMHealth project within general public.
