We invite you to join the Introduction to Machine Learning workshop, organized within the STRIMHealth project by the Bioinformatics Team at the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković”, in collaboration with the School of Medical Sciences at Örebro University.
The workshop will be held online on April 15–16, 2026, from 10:00 to 15:00 (CET).
This two-day workshop will be led by Prof. Matej Orešič, Dr. Shashank Gupta, and Dr. Henrique Ribeiro from the School of Medical Sciences, Örebro University.
The workshop program will include basic concepts of machine learning, commonly used machine learning tools and algorithms, applications of machine learning in biomedical research and a hands-on session using machine learning tools and datasets from MetaboAnalyst.
This workshop is intended for researchers, PhD students, early-career researchers, and students interested in bioinformatics and the application of machine learning in biomedical sciences. No prior knowledge of machine learning is required. The working language of the workshop is English.
