Lecture by Prof. Dr. Max Nieuwdorp, from Amsterdam University Medical Centre, Netherlands
As part of the STRIMHealth activities to improve the research management skills of IBISS staff, STRIMHealth partner Prof. Dr. Max Nieuwdorp, from Amsterdam University Medical Centre, Netherlands, will give a lecture entitled „Roadmap to successful European Research Council (ERC) grant“ on November 15, 2024, 10:00 am, in the IBISS library. Prof. Dr. Max Nieuwdorp is the recipient of an ERC Advanced Grant of 2.5 million euros in 2024 for a comprehensive study on the causes of excessive alcohol production as a result of a disturbed gut microbiome. His project aims to open up a new way to treat fatty liver disease and liver inflammation. In this lecture, Prof. Nieuwdorp will share his first-hand experience and his path to a successful ERC grant as well as useful tips and tricks.
