Register for Workshop on Preclinical Models of MASLD until April 3, 2025!

The STRIMHealth team of the University of Belgrade – Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković” (IBISS) is pleased to announce the Workshop on Preclinical Models of Metabolic Dysfunction–Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD), which will be held at IBISS (Belgrade, Serbia) from April 8–10, 2025 (IBISS Library). Although the workshop will focus on MASLD models, the activities will tackle metabolic diseases endpoints such as type 2 diabetes and obesity.

The main topics are:

•        In vitro and in vivo MASLD models

•        3D in vitro models – organoids and spheroids

•        Relevant phenotypic endpoints

•        Microbiota and the gut-liver axis in MASLD

This intensive three-day workshop will consist of theoretical lectures and on-site group work session organized by Dr. André Santos, Dr. Vanda Marques and Prof. Dr. Cecília Rodrigues from the Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal, in collaboration with international experts. The official language of the workshop is English.

This workshop is open to PhD students and employees from academic institutions from Serbia. Early-stage researchers are especially encouraged to apply!
