Dr. Danijela Vojnović Milutinović participated in the European Congress of Endocrinology (ECE2026), held in Prague from 8 to 13 May 2026, where she presented STRIMHealth-related research results entitled “Exploring MASLD-associated features in women with PCOS: a subset analysis from a broader gut microbiota-focused study”. Her results showed that in women with PCOS, the presence of MASLD is associated with specific changes in gut microbiota composition, which may contribute to impaired insulin-regulated glucose metabolism, low-grade inflammation and early signs of liver injury through the gut-liver axis. Danijela also participated in the annual meeting of the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) Scientific Committee, where future directions of scientific activities and ESE development were discussed.
